About Stella Meinzer
Stella brings 25 years of experience to her work as a performing artist and teacher. Tutored by her father, an accomplished musician, Stella
Meinzer began studying the piano at age four. She graduated with honors from the University of California at Irvine, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Music. She later moved to Seattle where she worked for many years as a collaborative pianist with many instrumentalists, vocal artists, and jazz and
ballet dance companies. Later she joined the Peace Corps, where she served as professor of piano at the National Academy of the Arts in San Salvador, El
Salvador. A Suzuki teacher since 1987, she has trained hundreds of students of all ages. Helping parents to become supportive advocates for their
children is an important aspect of her work. As an ambassador for the Suzuki method and philosophy, she has organized numerous workshops. While in
Hawaii, she directed several Hawaii Suzuki Institutes. Stella
continues to attend numerous Suzuki Piano Institutes throughout the US.
In addition to being a member of the Suzuki Association of the Americas, Stella is a
Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) nationally certified teacher of music .
